Construction of a student model in contextually aware pervasive learning

In pervasive learning environment, students can learn anytime and anywhere. Context awareness has become a characteristic of the pervasive system and played an important role in the learning environment. This paper outlines work in progress related to the construction of agent-based student modeling as well as location and device within a pervasive learning environment through contextually sensitive manner and knowledge engineering technology. Contrary to traditional educational applications, the presented framework of pervasive learning can automatically and dynamically know and renew learner's individuation including learning action, preference and ability level, aim at integrating aware environmental context to provide student with adaptive activities, learning material and personal services.
