This task was set by the International Energy Agency within the framework of the adopted energy policy until 2050. Isolated energy supply zones in Russia cover up more than 60% of the entire territory. Authors in this paper define the operation modes of the hybrid systems with a high penetration level of diesel fuel. In the article, a multipurpose selection method of the main and auxiliary equipment of the energy complex based on renewable energy sources was showed. In the article, the process of creating unique laboratory bench for conducting simulation studies of wind power plants was described.
