This study aim is to describe performance of sanitation officer in community health center and factors related in Solok District in 2007. This study used qualitative method by in-depth interview, focus group discussion and observation; informant is sanitation officer in community health center, which was source-triangulated with the head of community health center and head of PL and PKM of District Health Office. Low performance of sanitation officer was reflected in low coverage, low frequency of counseling, low frequency of community training, low frequency of water monitoring, information system program was not functioned well.
