Four instruments -prepared by the researchers- that involved: a speaking skills checklist, a speaking skills rubric, a speaking test and an anxiety scale were used. Results of the study indicated that pupils speaking skills performance was considerably higher and their anxiety was lower than their counterparts of the control group in speaking test and anxiety scale.
