Despite the fact that there were numerous IoT models which were proposed in research papers, many of them were lacking practical architecture examples and empirical studies providing guidelines for practitioners implementing such systems and proving their usefulness and adjustment to real life requirements. The goal of this article is to provide IoT researchers and developers with a practical service-based architecture for IoT devices, which is focused on solving key challenges related to distributed IoT systems deployment.
