The resulting frame is a monochrome one calculated directly from the data delivered by the sensor’s primary BAYER matrix. An algorithm and VHDL module both working in real time were developed. The goal is the implementation in FPGA of a simple and easily usable algorithm, which is based on small amount of macro-cells. The algorithm is an essential part of optoelectronic measurement system of the plane coordinates of a light spot. This system is based on PLD. The resulting from the module monochrome frame is used by other image processing algorithms in the system.
