One set is fed from a variable frequency inverter while the second set is fed at constant frequency. Comparing with the traditional induction machine, BDFRM has simple structure and higher efficiency, higher power density, smaller size and lower maintenance cost. So, it is important to build an accurate dynamic model of BDFRM for many control method studies.
