However, it is complicated to extract all PV model parameters due to limited information. With the aim of improving accuracy and reducing complexity, this paper proposes a novel method based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to determine the unknown PV model parameters. To obtain the output characteristics of PV under different conditions, the I-V equation for PV model with only one unknown parameter is introduced. The PSO technology is applied for parameter identification, which adopts some improvements in the iterative process to ensure the effective convergence. An improved PSO algorithm for high accurate parameter identification of PV model
