This technology connects virtual objects with the real world, and it can visualize complex spatial relationships and abstract concepts, it also deepen people's perception of the surrounding environment and understanding of knowledge, and enable learners to experience impossible phenomena in the real world. AR brings new opportunities for teaching innovation. On the basis of the technical characteristics of augmented reality and the advantages of its application, and by analyzing the problems facing college English teaching, the paper discusses the advantages of augmented reality in college English teaching and the practice of teaching activities. It can promote the vigorous development of English classroom based on the deep integration of augmented reality technology and English teaching.
