At the same time, the Kreisky Era was a period during which the international dimension was central for the Second Republic of Austria, which distinguished itself thanks to its policy of active neutrality and numerous mediation initiatives. Finally, the existence of a genuine “Austrian model” is considered in terms of its reception, contributions, and limitations.
