Digital Culture and The Actor of Competition in Online Social Networks: “Digital Habitus”

As a consequence of digital revolution, internet digitalizes individuals, relationships and social life and has become widely used in both public and private areas with the combination of mobile technologies. Online social media networks, the phenomenon of present time plays an important role in cultural diversity. In the following sections where online social media platforms are exemplified more specifically, Bourdieu’s concepts of “field”, “capital” and “habitus” are examined. The reason to search the concepts related with digital habitus that provides virtual identity and virtual statu to its users is to help recognazition and understanding of online behavior. In the research of digital habitus which are deployed immanent to digital culture and dissociate for each social network, a interdisciplinary approach that combines communication sciences with social anthropology is adopted.
