Community Based P2P Video Streaming Service by Networked Consumer Electronics

Recently, as advent of computer processing power and audio and video compression technology, multiple realtime media have been able to processed by low priced personal computer. And as prompt of broadband network like xDSL and FTTH, ordinal users can easily use highspeed network, high quality video communication can be realized. In this paper, we introduced community based P2P video streaming service broadband network. System configuration and architecture are explained and its transcoding function to absorb the difference of user’s environment such as network speed, CPU power and contents precisely explained.
