Since large amount of energy consumption of internet is due to the access networks, so in this paper Green FiWi (GFiWi) algorithm is proposed that switches the nodes of FiWi access networks to sleep mode in order to reduce energy consumption of FiWi networks not only at the optical but also at wireless part of FiWi. Simulation results showed that there is a slight degradation in the performance despite of the fact that most of the nodes are switched to sleep mode. The energy saving is compared with the state of the art existing algorithm. 摘要

光纤无线(FiWi)是接入网的混合架构。由于互联网的大量能耗来自接入网,因此本文提出了绿色FiWi (Green FiWi, GFiWi)算法,该算法将FiWi接入网的节点切换到休眠模式,以降低FiWi网络在光纤和无线部分的能耗。仿真结果表明,尽管大多数节点切换到休眠模式,但性能仍有轻微下降。并与现有算法的节能性能进行了比较。与其他现有的方法相比,GFiWi不仅节省了大量的能源,而且还提高了性能。
