The purpose of this paper is to control a voltage source inverter in a grid-connected mode to supply high-quality power to the main grid. To achieve this goal, a Twisting Sliding Mode controller is proposed, which controls the output currents to follow their references derived from active and reactive power references while rejecting disturbances caused by the main grid voltage. A novel strategy is proposed to decouple and reduce the order of the grid-connected inverter model in the natural reference frame.
