This literature analysis is performed for publications from 2017 to 2022. More than 30 publications were selected and studied. In this present work, some of the existing ML & DL algorithms that are used to process the images for detecting crop diseases are discussed. The study highlights the results of the investigation of several existing ML and DL models, datasets used and gaps in work. Finally, this identified gaps that may decide the future direction of the research in this area.
