Device for Adaptive Sampling of Signals in Multichannel Information and Measurement Systems
The increasing flows of measurement data have led to the need to create information and measurement systems with data compression, in which only essential information is processed and transmitted. The basic principle of operation of Data Measuring Systems with adaptive sampling is based on the fact that the sampling frequency of input signals is not constant for a specific system, but changes in accordance with changes in certain parameters of input signals. In this case, the number of signal samples is reduced while maintaining the specified approximation error. The measured value is approximated by some function, usually called the basic one. Comparison of this functions is carried out in accordance with the accepted fidelity criterion. At the moments of time when the difference between functions - the approximation error - reaches a given allowable value, the input signal count is considered significant and is used for further processing, transmission, indication or registration.
