Pemanfaatan Pelepah Pisang Sebagai Treatment Akustik Pada Ruang Masjid Al Ikhlas Jalan Timor Medan

This study was conducted to determine the effect of acoustic treatment on comfort in the mosque room using banana fronds (α = 0,.71). Then place a sample of banana fronds measuring 25 x 25 x 2 cm on the wall of the Mosque to measure the sound pressure level and reverberation time using a sound level meter measuring instrument. The value of the sound pressure level decrease from 71,2 dB to 55 dB, the value of the reverberation time using the sabine method and successive experiments decrease from 1,89 s to 1,5 s and from 1,78 s to 1,56 s. Banana fronds have a good influence to be used as a material for room acoustic treatment because they have good absorption and shelf life in dry conditions.
