It is necessary to develop a database for solving this problem that includes the determination of the main elements of transformer substations and power lines, structuring their parameters for calculating the criteria of evaluating the effectiveness of the decision to select power equipment. The conceptual model of a transformer substation and power transmission line was developed on the basis of the analysis of the subject area, the main elements and their properties were determined. A logical and physical model based on a relational database-management system was developed. The received models can be used for develop a database, a program for calculation of the criteria for evaluating the efficiency of the decision on the select of the power equipment.
