These characteristics are in a complex interdependence, which necessitates research using special methods and MATLAB system. In the paper the proposed methods of analysis and synthesis of the system are employed, which allow to obtain optimal system characteristics. The expediency of use of bipolar signal transmission is emphasized. The value of the minimum and sufficient channel bandwidth to ensure the maximum signal rate is obtained. The advantages of using a multi-position signal, which provides either a reduction of channel bandwidth or increase of the system bandwidth at a given constant channel bandwidth are shown.
