This research delves into the consensus of the ideal leadership styles of school principals regarding their roles in relation to school leadership and school effectiveness. Taking a qualitative approach, data was aggregated through semi-structured interview with the selected principals of An accredited school located on Lombok Island, Indonesia. The study suggests that the inter-relationship between a principal’s style and their role strongly impacts on the effectiveness of a school.
