The installed capacity of wind power has already reached 32.7 GW, which is about 55% of total renewable energy power plant capacity installed in India. To establish a wind power plant, wind power density of a site is to be estimated. Wind power density is an important parameter which indicates the wind energy potential of a site before installing a wind power plant. Wind is statistically represented by Weibull parameters k (shape parameter) and c (scale parameter). In this paper, sites with same wind power density are selected and their monthly mean wind speed, monthly standard deviation of mean wind speed, and Weibull parameters are compared. The Akal (Rajasthan) site is compared with Uswad (Maharashtra) site and Bassi (Rajasthan) site. Also, Lamba (Gujarat) site is compared with Taralkatti (Karnataka). Average, quadratic average, cubic average, and median of monthly Weibull parameters are calculated and compared. For the considered sites with same wind power density, the variation in calculated statistical parameters are found to be less. Percentage variation in statistical values of monthly Weibull parameters for Bassi and Usawad (in reference to Akal site) and Taralkatti (in reference to Lamba site) are calculated.
