The background from <span><math><msup><mrow><mi>τ</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo></mrow></msup><msup><mrow><mi>τ</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo></mrow></msup></math></span> events has been analysed. Selection criteria for background suppression are suggested and necessary requirements on the detector characteristics have been found. A possible upper limit for <span><math><msub><mrow><mi>B</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>τ</mi><mo>→</mo><mi>μ</mi><mi>γ</mi></mrow></msub></math></span> at SCTF is about <span><math><mo>(</mo><mn>1.5</mn><mo>÷</mo><mn>2.5</mn><mo>)</mo><mo>×</mo><msup><mrow><mn>10</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>10</mn></mrow></msup></math></span>. Feasibility study for a search for τ→μ+γ decay at Super c−τ factory
