In-depth interviews were conducted with seven healthcare providers, four patients and three caregivers, as well as key informant interviews with six doctors in administration.

Results: Thirteen organisations providing palliative care to population of Puducherry district of union territory Puducherry and neighbouring districts of Tamil Nadu were identified.
