Searching the medlars citation file on-line using Elhill 2 and Stairs: A comparison

Abstract

This article is a comparison of ELHILL 2 and STAIRS programs with respect to on-line searching of the MEDLARS citation file. Areas under consideration are database characteristics, basic terminal interactions, commands, search statements, and printing citations resulting from on-line or off-line processing.
