A possible correlation between ageing and irradiation damage in rice

Abstract

The germinability of aged seeds differed conspicuously among rice varieties. Varieties with high and low germinability in aged seeds also showed high- and low-resistance for both the characters of germinability and seedling height, when their freshly harvested seeds were irradiated by gamma-rays.
