Abstract

Objetivo

Exponer la relación existente entre el dolor y las estrategias terapéuticas usadas en la osteopatía, así como intentar justificar su apropiada aplicación en el tratamiento del dolor.

Material y método

Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica y su posterior comentario de una serie de artículos que relacionan el dolor, sus distintos mecanismos de control y las posibles estrategias terapéuticas para éste.

Conclusiones

Las estrategias terapéuticas usadas en la osteopatía parecen tener justificación en el tratamiento del dolor, aunque se deben tener en cuenta las múltiples variables relacionadas con éste y los distintos tipos de dolor para un correcto tratamiento.

To explore the relationship between pain and the therapeutic strategies used in osteopathy and to attempt to justify the application of osteopathy in pain treatment.
