Women's places and spaces in this movement of people are determined by where they stand within society and the state. It makes the case that concentrating on gender and the family can offer the crucial connection between micro and macro levels of analysis. The study categorises the literature according to key themes in an effort to contribute to a gendered understanding of the social process of immigration. The importance of comprehending how class, gender, and ethnicity interact throughout migration and settlement is emphasised throughout. In the West Rarh Plateau region of West Bengal, the phenomena of migrant movements are not a recent one. Age, education, length of marriage, residential status, and occupation are the most common elements that promote women's mobility, decision-making authority, and relative lack of social restraints. The study is mostly conducted using data from a standardised questionnaire used to gather information from door to door surveys. Rural residents frequently leave West Rarh Plateau Region, West Bengal, which is prone to droughts, for the neighbouring, more prosperous and agriculturally oriented areas.
