Rete Testis Adenocarcinoma

Abstract

Purpose:To study the clinical features of patients with adenocarcinoma of the rete testis, and to discuss the treatment of this disease.Methods:Clinical data of the patient with rete testis adenocarcinoma was retrospectively reviewed.Results:The patient had the classic clinical presentation of epididymitis and orchitis: swelling scrotum, hydrocele of tunica vaginalis. The patient underwent orchiectomy and epididymectomy, got eradication of the clinical sign and symptom without complications.Conclusions:Rete testis adenocarcinoma had special clinical character. Radical orchiectomy with RPLND is the choice of treatment,radiation and chemical therapy are of no significant effect.
