Seven segment display unit is used to show time, group number and also to produce an alarm to alert the presenter about the time during the presentation. User can set time and group number, start countdown and control other functions of seven segment display unit by an IR remote. Dot matrix display unit shows group number and other information to the waiting candidates which communicate with 7-segment display unit by RF Tx-Rx pair. Abstract

In this paper, a customized clock and alarming system is developed, which can manage time and call the candidates sequentially during important viva-voice or presentation. The main purpose of this work is to free the intricacy of viva-voce or presentation time and to make it captivating to both the examiners and the examinees.
