Thymidine kinase (TK) is a key enzyme in the regulation of the intranuclear thymidine pool during cell cycle progression. The rise in its plasma level therefore systematically reveals an uncontrolled cellular proliferation evoking, of course, at first a neoplastic process. Abstract
