Many scientific studies have focused on this issue in recent years, nothing that resistance training is a method capable of dealing with a number of diseases in childhood and developed mainly in adulthood. Once empirically disproved the false beliefs that claimed that exposure to heavy external loads in childhood stopped or changed the final height of the individual, the aim of this study is to make a literature review of recent studies in order to present the main benefits of resistance training in children (motor benefits, health, psychological/psychosocial and injury prevention), in order to implement it in schools. Abstract

Actually, the scientific community indicates the existence of a lot of health problems derived from a sedentary lifestyle and it can be prevented by physical activity from an early age. Many scientific studies have focused on this issue in recent years, nothing that resistance training is a method capable of dealing with a number of diseases in childhood and developed mainly in adulthood.
