Data were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection database in May and June 2022, and analyses were performed using CiteSpace 6.1.R2. A total of 885 studies on virtual reality were included in the bibliometric analysis; 3570 authors from 1283 institutions and 60 countries contributed, and the studies were published in 356 different journals. Abstract
This bibliometric analysis was conducted to provide a comprehensive overview of the development of virtual reality in nursing, and to identify the research trends and hot topics in this field.
