Abstract
The Indo-Pak-Bangladesh subcontinent presents a particularly challenging case for the study and
development of appropriate models of conflict management for those who want to promote durable
peace and stability in the volatile Indian sub-continent where both India and Pakistan house nuclear
arms. In this article, I will provide a brief outline of some of the dimensions of the present communal
and regional conflict, and will highlight selected and salient features of a model for conflict
management as located within a human rights framework.
