Gilbenclamide was used as standard antidiabetic drug at a concentration of 5 mg/kg. Blood samples were collect and analyzed for plasma glucose till 14 th day. The low molecular weight fraction in pumpkin juice at the dose of 300 mg/kg produced significant reductions in plasma glucose at the end of treatments period of fourteen days.
