L'Évangile selon Adam

Abstract

According to the founding discourse of Christianity, sin only has its place when inserted in salvation history which allows one to get out of its deadly logic. In order to speak correctly about sin it is thus necessary to understand it on the basis of a "Gospel according to Adam" as close as possible to the good news attested by the forgiven sinner. The writing of this gospel makes it possible for theology to verify the fruitfulness of the Christian invention of sin by bringing out its critical potential both with respect to the pathologies of religious discourse and life-killing ideologies. This writing which involves the ordered reception of revelation and an understanding of the mode of historicity proper to salvation, allows one to do justice to the anthropological realism of the Christian doctrine of sin.
