Consequently, Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and entropy of ion-pair formation have been determined. In addition, the 1H NMR spectra of carbohydrates, IL and carbohydrate + IL + D 2 O were studied. The NMR study does not show any special and strong interactions between IL and carbohydrates but, the macro properties and their changes in terms of size and structure of carbohydrates and IL have been discussed. Abstract
