Simulation package for an automated manufacturing system

Abstract

Computerized simulation of Manufacturing Systems is useful in three major application areas- Design, Planning and Control. Even before the purchase or installation of costly machines and equipments, it is possible to predict the performance of the system. It is often easier to develop one's own tailor made simulator. One such development of a simulator for an Automated Manufacturing System is outlined in this article.
