Abstract

This paper describes the effect of the polarity of the surfactant on lapping behavior such as stock removal and the amount of minute powders adhered to or embedded in the lapping surface which arise out of the lapping plate and the workpiece. Brass, steel, glass and other materials are lapped by surfactants with different polarity and varied lapping plates.
