The sample of was selected from the Uttarkashi Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, and then further identification was done by a designated authority from Dehradun, i.e., the Forest Research Institute (FRI), and steam distillation of fresh leaves was performed and oil extract was collected. The yield of essential oil from leaves was observed and a total of fifty constituents were recognized with the help of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The crucial oil also has antifungal and antibacterial properties against some infectious strains. The engrossing characteristics of the oil constitution were the existence of dictamnol in good amounts.
