Abstract

Crisis News Framing in Polish Gossip Websites The article answers the question about the ways in which the crisis is portrayed by the Polish gossip websites. It presents the results of the content analysis of Pudelek.pl, Kozaczek.pl, and JastrzabPost.pl, comparing the range of publication problems, as well as narrative frames and editorial techniques which the media workers use to increase the emotionality and pejorative nature of their statements. The results of the conducted research lead to the conclusion that manipulation might have occurred in the descriptions of the events in question.
