These two elements allow the fencer to achieve his goal, which is to strike his opponent without being struck. The actions performed in the context of fencing require motor skills that fencers learn while training and they must aim at a target. This study aims to review the scientific literature to see the need and benefits of using the Favero EFT-1, as both a training and testing tool. Google Scholar, PubMed and Web of Science databases were searched in order to find the original research studies which used this device in any form. The selected articles were written in English and were accessible in full-text. Finally, 9 articles were introduced in this study for the detailed analysis. Two ways of using this apparatus were found: for testing the speed of reaction and the accuracy of the shot, and as a method to improve the various forms of speed as the apparatus was introduced into the development program of this quality. Abstract
