Abstract

Temperature dependence of Pb 2+ decays in the hydroxyapatites CaPb x (PO(OH) 2 has been studied between 25 and 300 K. It has been showed that the process of photoluminescence is mainly controlled by the metastable 3 P 0 level. The broad emission band at very low temperature is attributed to 3 P 0 1 S 0 and at 3 P 1 1 S 0 at higher temperature.
