The strong water absorbency of polyvinyl alcohol and the antimicrobial property of polyvinylpyrrolidone are combined in a single material. Structural and morphological properties of the films were characterized by Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscope analysis.
