Studies on antimicrobial and anthelmintic potential of Wheatgrass

Abstract

Wheatgrass (Triticum aestivum) is one of the important herb consumed widely and is known for therapeutic and nutraceutical potential. Wheatgrass is known for its antiulcer and anticancer potential. The current work was focused to evaluate antimicrobial and anthelmintic penitential of wheatgrass. The results demonstrated that aqueous extract of wheatgrass was able to inhibit worms and microbes. Thus, it could be concluded that wheat grass could be a potential source of antimicrobial and anthelmintic agents.
