Abstract

The most widely used treatment in pregnancies of less than 9 weeks (63 days) is a combination of 200 mg of mifepristone followed by 800 micrograms of misoprostol at 24-48 hours administered either vaginally or orally. Efficacy rates vary from 96.12% to 97.43% and the incidence of severe effects is low (0.2%).
