Abstract

This paper reviews the emergence of the DevOps (development and operations) paradigm in the industry and the influence it has along with cloud based data management and analytics in the greening of business applications. It considers the geoscience domain as an example discussing usefulness in a GIS (geographic information system). Similar claims can be applied to other domains.
