Abstract

TheDepartment ofHealth’s review onCommunity Children’s Nursing Services highlights the need for a comprehensive out of hospital service involving nursing and primary care as well as multi-agency services to meet the complex needs of children with acute and chronic conditions (Department of Health, 2011). This systematic review has summarised all the available evidence for specialist home-based nursing services for children with acute and chronic illnesses (Parab et al., 2013).
