Abstract
The paper deals with the design and operation of an experimental set up consisting of a 6 cm bore gas cannon using standard propellant and a traveling-wave induction accelerator. The projectile consisting of an aluminum cylinder weighing 120 grams, is initially brought up to a speed of 600 m/s in the gas cannon.
