This may be due to damage at birth, as well as by the effect of genetic factors and aging, or as a combination of these. Of these diseases, the more common Alzheimer's disease (AD) generally presents at an advanced age, while Huntington disease (HD) tends to occur at an early age. AD is the most common cause of dementia in the elderly. AD is the most common cause of dementia in the elderly, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that causes loss of cognitive function and ultimately death. The pathology of AD is mainly composed of senile plaques and neurofibrillary tangles (NFT). HD, one of the neurodegenerative diseases of the central nervous system, is a trinucleotide repeat disorder. HD is characterized by involuntary movements called Korea, memory loss, impaired motor coordination, and accompanying psychiatric symptoms.
