Abstract

A rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method is developed for the determination of Copper (II) in aqueous DMF medium. The metal ion forms a light greenish yellow coloured complex with 5-bromo salicylaldehyde thiosemicar- bazone (5-BSAT) in acidic medium. The complex shows absorption maximum at 390nm.
